There is no nation state. The umma is bigger and the only entity that matters
This is the opposite of the Sunna. The Prophet  Muhammad ﷺ loved Mecca and said you are the most beloved of towns and lands to me (Tirmidhī)

He who puts love of nation over umma is a disbeliever
Dhahabī said that the Prophet  Muhammad ﷺ used to love his nation (waṭan) so loving one’s homeland and nation is a Sunna

One should not protect countries of non-Muslims
The Companions in Abyssinia fought with the Najāshi and Zubayr was given a spear for his valor that was subsequently given to the Prophet  Muhammad ﷺ
4
There is no nation in Islam and only the umma
Not knowing about citizenship and its obligations leads one to use the unnecessary language of “minorities” and their rights
5
The dhimmi is less than a Muslim since “Islam is raised and nothing is above it” (Darquṭnī)
Rights that exist in a nation are distributed not on lines of creed, but rather on the basis of humanity where all are equal
